This week, William talks with Chris Hodges, founder and Senior Pastor of the Church of the Highlands in Birmingham, Alabama.

Pastor Chris has a deep passion for developing leaders and planting life-giving churches. He co-founded the Association of Related Churches in 2001, which has launched hundreds of churches across the United States. He founded Grow, which specializes in training and resourcing pastors and churches, and Highlands College, a ministry training school that trains and launches students into full-time ministry careers. He is also the author of multiple books, including his most recent release, Out Of The Cave.

On today’s podcast conversation, Chris discusses the scripture and scientific research that supports his new book about being a Christ-follower and struggling with mental health and depression. He explains liberating solutions for getting out of the cave by drawing on the Life of the prophet Elijah. Chris focuses this valuable conversation around Bible-based wisdom, practical application, and being vulnerable in sharing his personal struggles.
