Senior Pastor
Bryant Wright is the senior pastor of Johnson Ferry Baptist Church in Marietta, GA. Bryant was called to serve as pastor of Johnson Ferry in 1981, when it was still a church plant. Since that time, the church has grown from about 20 families meeting in an empty doctor’s office to over 7,300 members. Prior to Johnson Ferry, Bryant served as Minister to Single Adults/College at Second Baptist Church in Houston, TX.
Bryant is founder and chairman of Right From the Heart, a media ministry that airs short, inspirational messages on secular television and radio and provides daily devotions and a myriad of other online resources. He has authored six books. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Carolina, a Master of Divinity from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and honorary doctorates from the University of South Carolina and SEFOVAN Seminary (Madrid, Spain). He served as president of the Southern Baptist Convention in 2010-2012.
Bryant and his wife, Anne, have been married for 45 years. They have three adult sons and 7 grandchildren.
