The Role: The primary goal of the Youth Pastor is to lead and organize the student ministry here at Central Community Church.

What started as prayer meetings in 1907, has grown exponentially and is now known as Central Community Church. Central Community Church is a place that is intentional about leading others in a growing relationship with Jesus Christ by passionately pursuing all people for eternal life through biblical teaching, vibrant worship, and authentic community.


About the Youth Pastor:

The primary goal of the Youth Pastor is to lead and organize the student ministry here at Central Community Church. They will connect with students in the church and with students in the community. The Youth Pastor will provide guidance and next steps for students to grow spiritually, as well as provide a place for students following Christ to be equipped in their spiritual journey. They will continue to advance our vision of students being spiritually mature, fully devoted, disciple-makers of Jesus.


The Youth Pastor Will: 

  • Lead the vision, mission, and strategy of Central’s Student Ministry.

  • Provide oversight of volunteers and interns in student ministry.

  • Develop and pour into leaders who will also develop and pour into students.

  • Have an intentional plan to disciple students in engaging and innovative ways.

  • Ensure students have access to quality small group experiences with a spiritual leader.

  • Provide events/activities for students to connect, grow, and serve within the context of their student ministry.

  • Create environments where every student has a place to connect and grow, regardless of their past and spiritual background.

  • Integrate students into the church vision, mission, and strategy through services, service projects, mission trips, and serving in other areas of the church.

  • Contribute to the growth, engagement, and development of the structure of the student ministry. 


What You Bring: 

Education & Experience

  • Undergraduate degree required

  • 5+ years of ministry experience and  proven experience in overseeing staff

  • Great communication skills with leadership team, ministry teams, students, and parents.

  • Team player with leadership charisma and the ability to build a team well.

  • Natural ability to be a gatherer and developer of people.

  • Passionate about discipleship and leading others.

  • Self-starter and constantly looking for ways to improve.

  • Passion for connecting with the community to build relationships with the students and their families.

  • Excitement in leading a student ministry that is in alignment with the purpose of the Central Community Church.

  • Love for teaching God’s Word and for students.

  • Intrinsic ability to recruit and connect people with the Student Ministry.
