Meet City Church

City Church officially launched on July 14, 2013, but it's genesis actually occurred in the fall of 2012. Four couples met to discuss the need for a church in Evansville that would be deeply committed to the gospel of Jesus Christ and to the City of Evansville. Thus City Church, aptly named, was born.

When City Church began, their vision was to bring spiritual, social, and cultural renewal to the city of Evansville and beyond through a movement of people who are being transformed by the gospel of Jesus Christ.  Early on, the church dreamed of having its own facility. Numerous possible locations around the city of Evansville were considered and the church family finally settled with a 47,000 sq. ft. property that was located downtown, which was a perfect location for a city church named “City Church.” By the summer of 2015, the church owned the building and began to grow exponentially.

Since that day, City Church has continued to grow, sustained its mission, and is extremely grateful for the manner in which God has blessed the church. It is the commitment of all leaders of City Church to be faithful both in words and actions to the gospel of Jesus Christ and to pour out God’s love and grace on the city of Evansville.

What it's like to live in Evansville, IN:

Evansville is Indiana's third-largest city, with just over 300,000 residents. It is a friendly place in Southwest Indiana, along the Ohio River. Evansville is the metropolitan hub where southwest Indiana meets southeast Illinois and northwest Kentucky. It has a strategic location to St. Louis, Indianapolis, Cincinnati, Nashville, Louisville, which are all within 3 hours.
