Morton - Day 3 26 (1)

Meet Connexus Church

When God gives you a mission and a passion for people, it changes everything. This is the story of Connexus.

After a successful decade transitioning three small mainline churches into a vibrant and growing church, in 2007 God began to birth a desire in the heart of Carey Nieuwhof and a group of leaders.

They saw a need for a different kind of church in their community; a place where everyone is welcome and people can discover who Jesus is without the hang-ups of rituals or unspoken expectations. A place where people can come as they are. A church that could embody the idea that God is FOR people, not against them.

Their desire grew into a vision to create a church that unchurched people love to attend.

Today, over 1,300-1,500 people attend Connexus across three locations simultaneously on an average Sunday morning and over 5,000 people engage each week online. Connexus continues to dream of reaching more people across Canada with a growing network of five Canadian Church Partners and hosting a nationally recognized Canadian Church Leaders Conference.
