Crossroads Christian School

Executive Director

Corona, California

CCS Grade Level Logos-16

Denomination/Affiliation: Christian Church (Restoration Movement) / Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) / Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC)

Total Enrollment: 800

Location: Corona, California

The Role: Executive Director

Meet Crossroads Christian School:

In the fall of 1978, an investigative task force led by Associate Pastor Roger Harris was formed of Crossroads Christian Church members to lay the foundation for establishing a Christian preschool in the south Corona area. Since then, Crossroads has become four school-age and grade groupings in one school, encouraging the next generation in their God-given potential and purpose. Crossroads Christian School is addressing the need to create new ways of engaging learners to excel in an increasingly global classroom by facilitating 21st Century Collaborative Learning methods.

CCS offers unique resources and opportunities schoolwide. The teaching is based on Christian principles, instead of a humanistic educational philosophy. It is a secure school at every grade level with drills and deterrents to ensure each child is safe. Class sizes are kept at 30 or fewer, and many of them are supported by Associate Facilitators and offer daycare before and after school starting at 6AM and going as late as 6PM. CCA also offers a STEAM program to further develop 21st-century skillsets like engineering, foreign language, and sports and arts activities. Learners continue their spiritual and character development through a weekly chapel of worship and teaching, and the school partners with parents in education and involvement opportunities.

CCS is fully accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (“WASC”).

What it's Like to Live in Corona, California:

Corona and the Inland Empire, a large metropolitan area in Southern California, are wonderful places to live and raise a family. Equidistant to beaches and ski slopes, mountains and deserts, hiking and dirt-biking, world-class amenities and beautiful open spaces, our region is one of the fastest-growing in our state. Housing is much more affordable than in neighboring Orange and Los Angeles Counties, and we enjoy great racial diversity. People come to Corona to buy a home, to be close to outdoor activity, and to enjoy warm days and cool evenings. With afternoon breezes that you can set your watch by, even the air quality is better in Corona than in many neighboring areas of California.

We feature great shopping and restaurants, and we're close to theme parks, museums, and the performing arts. Dos Lagos is a popular outdoor shopping area that offers a combination of some of those great amenities. The Corona Heritage Park and Museum is another wonderful location to get outside and enjoy the sights, and the features it offers, like glassblowing and woodworking classes, exercise programs, and gardening bring enjoyment to a great diversity of people

On top of all of this, Crossroads Christian Church is a fixture in our community with a great reputation for servanthood. We have been around for 128 years (two years longer than the city of Corona itself!) and are still going strong as we continue to grow and develop to reach the people of our city and the surrounding areas.
