About the Senior Pastor:

The Senior Pastor has a genuine love for God as described in Matthew 22:37-39.  He is a man who walks with and whose life reflects the fruits of the Spirit as described in Galatians 5:19-24.  The Senior Pastor has a deep desire to love our people more than what he can do for the people.

The Senior Pastor position at Fellowship Bible Church requires a strong servant leader, called by God, who is authentic, humble, transparent, self-controlled, accountable, knowledgeable, disciplined, and a gifted influencer who can successfully impact the ministry in the following six (6) key areas of ministry:

  1. DELIVERS INSPIRATIONAL BIBLICAL PREACHING AND TEACHING

  2. PROVIDES VISIONARY TEAM LEADERSHIP

  3. UPHOLDS MISSION AND VISION

  4. FOCUSES ON INTENTIONAL GROWTH

  5. MODELS MAKING DISCIPLES

  6. PROVIDES STRONG RELATIONAL INTERACTION

The Senior Pastor Will: 

  • Demonstrate personal spiritual vibrancy in their walk with Christ.

  • Serve as the primary preacher and communicator, responsible for planning the preaching calendar.

  • Act as chief ambassador and representative of FBC.

  • Act chief communicator of mission and vision.

  • Be a visionary keeper of a healthy, vibrant culture among the staff, leadership community and body.

  • Inspire and champion the spiritual development of the staff leadership team.

  • Leads with and fosters an environment of servant leadership, accountability, growth and development.

  • Oversee and ensures the execution of strategies, ministry plans and church-wide initiatives.

  • Communicate and implement the decisions and determinations of the Elders.

What You Bring: 

Education & Experience

  • Undergraduate degree required; M.Div. or equivalent

  • 10+ years of ministry experience – pastoring, public speaking, and leading

Qualifications

  • Exhibits the qualifications of a spiritual leader as found in 1 Timothy 3:2–7 and Titus 1:6–9.

  • Exhibits Christ-like character and a vibrant walk with Christ.

  • A healthy, Christ-like marriage.

  • Aligns with and fully embraces FBC’s Statement of Faith, Biblical and theological alignment.

  • A skilled preacher and teacher of God’s word.

  • Possesses the ability to clearly communicate vision and direction.

  • Aligns with and personally embodies FBC’s mission.

  • Partners with Elders to communicate the vision, with a heart’s desire to enhance the vision over time.

  • Demonstrated commitment to ethnic diversity and the ability to speak in a multicultural and multi-generational manner.

  • Has a heart to celebrate and connect with people of diverse backgrounds, cultures and generations.

  • Demonstrated organizational leadership skills, experiences, and gifts.

  • A unifier who can leverage the gifts and abilities of the staff leadership team.

  • Inspires and motivates “followership” among the staff, leadership community and body.

  • Visionary keeper of a healthy culture among staff, leadership community and church body.

What it's Like to Live in Roswell, Georgia: 

Located approximately twenty miles north of Atlanta in Fulton County, you’ll find the family-friendly town of Roswell, Georgia. Roswell has a small-town feel with lots of fun activities and entertainment for local residents. The area is nationally known for its great parks system and has lush green trails with trees that line the community. The Chattahoochee River offers its guests beautiful scenery, a riverwalk, and playgrounds. 

Roswell, Georgia, is rich with history and has a Southern Trilogy – Historic House Museum Tours and Historic District Sites that share in-depth information on the history of this region. Approximately 15-30 minutes away, you’ll find towns like Woodstock, Marietta, and Alpharetta. These cities have a lot to offer, from various recreational activities to great culinary and shopping places to visit.

Roswell is a great place to live and raise a family.  While traffic within the perimeter of the city of Atlanta can be challenging, navigating the suburban community of Roswell is much easier.  The public and private school systems in Roswell are highly rated and many community activities are available for children, from athletics to the arts.
