The Role: The Grace Orlando Worship Pastor is responsible for designing and facilitating weekend worship services and events at the campus level that are in line with Grace’s culture, mission, and vision.


Meet Grace Church:

Grace is one non-denominational church (reformed theology) worshipping in four local campuses around the greater Orlando area, with a mission to help people take their next step toward Christ. Our model gives us the strength and resources of a larger church but the community and neighborhood feel of a smaller church. 

We have live teaching pastors at all of our campuses, allowing us to connect with people and teach the Bible in ways that speak to each unique neighborhood. It also allows us to resource and train as many next-generation leaders as possible for the gospel of Jesus Christ.

About the Worship Pastor:

The Grace Orlando Worship Pastor is responsible for designing and facilitating weekend worship services and events at the campus level that are in line with Grace’s culture, mission, and vision. They work with network worship leadership and creative teams to ensure that we are always moving forward as we help people take their next steps toward Christ. Worship Directors lead and develop a team of creative volunteers that work together to create an excellent and authentic experience each week.


The Worship Pastor Will: 

  • Support the culture, mission, vision, and of Grace church

  • Attend weekly staff and team meetings

  • Participate in scheduling 60+ member Worship Team to ensure all necessary positions are filled for weekend services and other events

  • Liaise closely with Worship Leadership and Technical Director to plan and execute weekend services, including song selection, service liturgy, and flow

  • On-platform presence during all weekend services and major events as assigned by Worship Leadership

  • Lead efficient rehearsals with short turnaround times in a fast-paced environment

  • Lead pastoral care efforts for Grace Orlando campus Worship Team

  • Coach and shepherd Team Leads to promote strong organizational and care structure within the Worship Team

  • Support Director of Development in onboarding and continual training of Worship Team members

  • Collaborate with Worship Leadership to identify and develop promising worship leaders and team leads

  • Contribute creative ideas and tactical support to deliver wow-making excellence in all services and events

  • Establish and support worship activities at the Grace Orlando campus including Grace Students and graceKids!

  • Set and monitor the progress of short and long term personal and professional goals to build the effectiveness of Grace Orlando worship team and contribute to the mission of Grace Church

  • Prepare and monitor annual campus budget, reporting needs and trends to Worship Leadership

  • Lead and support additional events throughout the calendar year such as Night of Worship, Good Friday, Christmas Eve, memorial services and weddings

  • Manage volunteer teams

    • Recruit, develop and equip band and vocalists for events, services, and rentals

    • Meet regularly with team members to develop, train, and cast vision


What you Bring: 

Education & Experience

  • 2-4 year degree in a music-related field or worship leadership

  • 5+ years leading a worship ministry at a church of 1000+ also acceptable

  • Experience in industry software applications preferred (Ableton, Logic, Omnisphere, Mainstage, Planning Center Online, ProPresenter)

  • Minimum 3 years leading worship required

Skills & Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience working in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel

  • Solid time management skills with minimal oversight

  • Availability to work evening and weekend hours to support church events and services. Hours and office time flexible.

  • Strong vocal talent

  • Strong musical talent (guitar preferred)

  • Solid understanding of musical theory and arrangement

  • Must be creatively innovative. Always pushing the organization forward while maintaining the vision and culture of Grace Church.

  • Able to lead in a fast-paced environment

  • Extremely strong interpersonal skills
