HTC Building-1

Meet Holy Trinity Church:

HTC is a growing, vibrant church in McLean, Virginia, closely situated near our nation’s capital.  HTC reaches into the broader DC community, and also serves as a local church to our Northern Virginia home. Everything at HTC is about loving God and others with all our heart and encouraging others to do the same.  We have a strong calling as a community to play our part in the re-evangelization of the nations and the transformation of society, and we actively embrace all people of any denomination or none to accomplish the work God has placed before us.

On October 10, 2010, a small group of families prayed together, and one by one each person shared what God placed on their heart as His desire for a new church in McLean, Virginia. The group sensed a calling to establish a new church in the greater Washington DC area, a truly strategic city, focused on those who do not yet know Jesus.  From this small group of committed families, Holy Trinity Church, lovingly known as HTC, was born. The founding families felt that HTC should reflect their shared experiences at Holy Trinity Brompton (“HTB”) (www.htb.org) in London and its calling to play a meaningful part in the evangelization of the nation (the UK), the revitalization of the church and the transformation of society.

HTC is a community built on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, the Love of God, the truths of His Word and the presence and power of the Holy Spirit.

About the Lead Pastor:

Holy Trinity Church is seeking a Lead Pastor who will lead and inspire a team that includes the sizable HTC staff and the congregation.  The Lead Pastor will motivate and activate this team in all aspects of ministry, including worship, teaching, preaching, evangelizing, pastoral care, administration, and stewardship. Recognizing no single person can “do it all”, the Lead Pastor extends God’s grace to others and leads by example as one who is relational, authentic, transparent, and humble. A successful candidate must have demonstrated ability to relate to and connect with a multi-generational, diverse congregation; a heart for proclaiming the gospel; and a desire to extend ministry to the community surrounding the church and then more broadly, thus continuing HTC’s active participation in spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The Lead Pastor will:

The Lead Pastor will oversee the administrator of the church and shall, therefore, be responsible for the management of the general program through supervision of the team and volunteers. The Lead Pastor will lead a team and therefore delegate the supervision of the daily management of church operations but has the ultimate responsibility for excellent operational execution. The Lead Pastor will also facilitate strategic planning – listening, discerning and responding to God’s calling for HTC -- and include the development of critical objectives and strategies focused on fulfilling the HTC mission. With full support of the Vestry, the Lead Pastor will lead the financial stewardship of the church. Finally, alongside the Church Warden, the Lead Pastor will Co-Chair the Vestry.
