Meet Ingleside Baptist Church:
Ingleside Baptist Church, beautifully nestled on a lush, green campus of rolling hills and mature trees in Macon, Georgia, was founded in October of 1951 with a vision to impact lives in Macon, Georgia – a vision which continues to this day. However, the current church bears little resemblance to that original church in size or scope of ministry, but the same goal of sharing the gospel of Jesus. They are a multi-generational church with a next generation orientation. Under the leadership of long-time Lead Pastor Dr. Tim McCoy, Ingleside has experienced steady growth throughout its history and continues to impact the broader Macon community for Christ as they live out the biblical command to make disciples for the glory of God through a discipleship process of Come, Grow, Serve and Go.
Participation metrics at Ingleside speak to God’s blessing. With over 2,000 students and adults of all ages participating in the four Sunday morning worship services, including over 200 children involved in a children specific worship service each Sunday, and over 300 middle school and high school students involved in ongoing weekly age group ministries, Ingleside is known as a healthy church with a Kingdom influence in Macon, Middle Georgia, and beyond.
Ingleside is serious about being true to the Bible, while remaining grounded in understanding real life issues of the 21st century. People who call Ingleside home are challenged to biblical commitments of unity and service. The church’s expansive ministry is a result of people committed to finding their ministry fit and serving diligently.
The congregation affirms the values of a warm welcome and excellence in details to create an inviting environment to hear and live out the gospel. This has led to a church having a compelling mix of ages, professions, and backgrounds. Young families have been finding their way to Ingleside in droves due to the outstanding reputation of the Next Generation ministries, which include a state-of-the-art facility for children, a full-service weekday preschool program, and outstanding programming for people of all ages.
Ingleside sits on 30 acres on prime land just off of I-75 in North Macon. With over 330,000 square feet of space, and a willingness to invest in expanded facilities and innovative programming, Ingleside is expecting and poised for continued growth in the future.
