About the Organization:

Imagine a school where your Christian values are supported, teachers are caring, students are actively engaged in their learning, administration is proactive, and athletic and other extra-curricular opportunities are plentiful. Also, imagine that this is possible for a very affordable price. That is what Lakeland Christian Academy is!

Incorporated in August of 1992, located in Lewisville, TX in southern Denton County, LCA began as a mother’s day out ministry of Lakeland Baptist Church and grew as more and more grades were added and its educational opportunities attracted more interest and students. In 2018, LCA will celebrate the 5th graduating class from the school. It currently has 503 students with 52 admin and teaching staff. It is part of Lakeland Baptist Church.

The ministry of LCA exists so that families in Lewisville and surrounding communities can choose Kingdom education for their children from pre-school age through grade 12. Kingdom education is defined as “the life-long, Bible-based, Christ-centered process of leading a child to Christ, building a child up in Christ, and equipping a child to serve Christ.” It involves the integration and application of biblical truths provided in the Bible to areas of Christian worldview, educational programs and activities, and personal development and maturity. These ends are to be achieved and/or maintained at Lakeland Christian Academy to the glory of God the Father, His Son Jesus Christ, and our Comforter, the Holy Spirit. Students are directed to remain true to the Lord with all of their heart, mind, and soul, exemplifying the name “Christian” as they impact their society for Christ (Acts 11:19-26).
