Meet North Parkersburg Baptist Church

The early years  - beginning in 1913 with a small group of just 41 people - were marked with an unwavering faith in God and devotion to His mission of impacting the lives of people in the Mid-Ohio Valley. North Parkersburg Baptist Church was planted, ministries were established and facilities were built to accomplish the mission. After the first pastor was called and construction began on a building, the church would see many seasons of great growth and provision and faithfulness. Over the first thirty years, the church was completely remodeled and expanded to address this great growth.  Throughout the decades, the church developed and changed as more people began to experience the love of Jesus Christ. Ministries have been added to promote Christian education; outreach in the community has been expanded; clinics were founded to provide care through foreign missions; and people have remained faithful to ministering each week to the needs of others.

New ministries and continued growth has happened as the church constantly seeks God’s direction for future growth of the church and the impact the body of Christ can make on this community and the world. Although the method of ministry may have adapted over time, sharing the message of the gospel has remained the sole purpose of each person serving at North Parkersburg Baptist Church. As they celebrate the legacy of those that have paved the way, they continue to be a community of believers where, no matter who you are, you can experience life change through Jesus Christ.
