The Role: The Worship Pastor will partner and co-labor with the Senior Pastor of Pillar Community Church and will also oversee, provide spiritual leadership, and creative support for worship and the creative arts.
Meet Pillar Community Church:
In November of 2009, the Lord passed on the above vision to Biz Gainey that led him and Melissa to embark on a journey of prayer and discernment regarding the "next step" in their ministry life.
After a season of reflection, discernment, and prayer with a small group of individuals, Pillar Community Church was born. The origin for our name is found in 1 Timothy 3:15 which in part says "The church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth."
Biz envisioned Pillar Community Church as a community of believers committed to seeking God's will in every aspect of our lives, not just on Sunday morning, but throughout the week. Biz has stated...‘The Lord is not a proposition to be proved, a program to be purchased, or a system to be managed. Rather, He is a relationship to be explored and a person to be discovered.'
While this vision still remains elusive in many ways, PCC strives to capture its heart by shaping our desires for a journey with Christ in communal, and deeply connected ways.
Pillar started in 2011 and is a non-denominational church focused on inviting people to celebrate God’s presence in our daily lives. We believe this invitation to a journey with God was stated beautifully by Robert Mulholland when he called it, “An intentional and continual commitment to a lifelong process of growth through wholeness in Christ. It is for this purpose that God is present and active in every moment of our lives.”
We currently have approximately 120 people who call Pillar home and have an active family of ministries including youth and children’s programs, missions, and thriving community groups focused on building a “with-God life” every day of the week.
We are in the midst of designing and building a new campus where we will have two post & beam buildings; a 300 person sanctuary and a celebration hall which will house classrooms, meeting rooms, offices, kitchen and an event center where we will host weddings for the community while providing income to help provide a stable financial platform for our ministry.

What it's Like to Live in Vero Beach, Florida:
An elegant city located along Florida's Atlantic Coast, Vero Beach is a haven for golf, water sports, and fishing. Peaceful beaches, museums, nature tours, and a range of hotels make Vero Beach a terrific vacation destination and an important part of the region, known as the Treasure Coast. Vero Beach also offers a fine selection of shops, both downtown and along Ocean Drive, and delectable cuisine for all tastes and budgets. Also found in Vero Beach are many parks, some of which offer access to the beach and Indian River Lagoon.
Unique in many ways, Vero is a quietly sophisticated coastal hamlet where blue-collar workers happily coexist with billionaires. Among its offerings: a world-class art museum, performing arts theaters, top shelf street shopping, scenic natural wonders, and the best Atlantic beach south of Georgia.
Unlike most of Florida’s coastline, Vero Beach has a notable absence of high-rise condominiums lining its shores. Laws enacted in the early 1970’s mandated that any new building in the count cannot exceed 35 feet. As a result, Vero Beach has preserved its “old Florida” feel with its low density and Live Oak canopied streets.
One of Vero’s most lushly wondrous outdoor spaces is McKee Botanical Gardens, which National Geographic listed as one of the 22 Most Soothing Places of Surprise and Sanctuary in North America.
Fine art, quality theatre, cinema, and opera, Vero has all of these in spades. The town’s historic downtown features at least a dozen fabulous art galleries. Worth exploring is the monthly First Friday Gallery Stroll.
