Meet Upward Christian Fellowship:

In 1923, Upward Christian Fellowship began as Hendersonville Pentecostal Holiness Church, meeting on Cherry Street. By 2005, the church had grown significantly enough to lead to the acquisition of 20 acres of property to build a new facility on Upward Road in Flat Rock. Not long after, with a new vision for reaching the community, the church changed its name to Upward Christian Fellowship.

In 2013, Upward Christian Fellowship became a bilingual church with the addition of Hispanic services. This past year, the church moved ahead with a major facilities expansion project increasing the worship center seating from 400 seats to 700. In addition to this space increase, the leadership also chose to invest in an AVL overhaul resulting in a brand new, custom, state of the art, sound, lighting, projection, and video system.

Upward has experienced significant growth from roughly 500 average weekend  attenders to over 1,000. The church is poised and the leadership is ready for all God has in store!
