Meet Valley Bible Church:
Valley Church is an anomaly in many ways. They are 47-years old, and yet have had only one pastor. They are strong in Bible teaching, yet filled with grace in their practice. They are charismatic in their roots and passionate in worship, yet reformed in their theology. Valley is deeply committed to helping Christians grow in their faith, but also highly evangelistic in their DNA.
Take a bit of Brooklyn Tabernacle, sprinkle some Dallas Theological Seminary, Evangelical Free, and Baptist into the bowl -- put it in a strategic location with great land and facilities and unlimited potential, and you have something that begins to look like Valley Bible Church.
After leading for 48 years, Pastor Phil Howard is stepping out of the senior pastor role to make room for the next leader. This is a church that sees itself as a people, not a building. They are an imperfect people seeking to glorify God--a place where the Bible is taught and answers to difficult questions can be found. People visit Valley and stay because it feels like a place to belong from the very first day.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a leader who is deeply committed to the Word of God, and also innovative and creative in ministry approach.
