The Role: The Finance Intern provides  support to the finance and business development team members by helping create a compensation database to better serve Christian organizations.

About the Finance Intern Intern: 

Vanderbloemen is currently creating a compensation database to better serve Christian organizations.   We need an intern to join our team and gain valuable experience to deliver this project. We would like this internship to run from later May to mid-August so that you are able to impact this project.   There is a good possibility that this project could be done remotely on a part-time basis in the fall after the internship is complete. We hope to provide you with great experience in business, non-profit and religious organizations.  

 Vanderbloemen is collecting compensation data in order to provide feedback to clients and candidates as to where their salary & benefits structure compares to other churches, non-profit & academic of similar size or budget.  Currently, there is not a dynamic database with this type of information that is composed of data that is continually updated with fresh information.

The effective Finance Intern  will achieve the following goals during their internship: 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work alongside the compensation team to manage & build a compensation database.

  • Populate database with current information secured from Compensation Studies.

  • Analyze database information for accuracy.

  • Research client size, budget & salary structure.

  • Collaborate to produce a final report to be sent to the client.

The following describes many of the characteristics of the ideal candidate for the Finance Intern:


  • Recent or current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program, preferably in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or Statistics, Data Analysis, Information Technology, or a similar track of study.

  • Proficient in G Suite, Email, and Internet Applications.

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and flexible with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments.

  • High level of confidentiality.
