Meet Victory Church:

Victory Church is a young, dynamic, and exciting contemporary church. A surprising claim for a church founded in Norristown in 1935! We can make that claim because over the years we have adapted our style and methods to reach a changing culture with an unchanging message. In recent years, we have grown from a relatively small neighborhood church in Trooper to a regional church adjacent to Route 422, attended by hundreds of people each weekend.

One of the key characteristics of Victory Church is our diversity. Because of the work of the Holy Spirit, our congregation consists of people from dozens of nationalities and ethnicities. In a society that is as fragmented as ours, Victory Church stands as a model of true community, united not by our personal preferences but by our common experience of the goodness of God. We believe you will find it to be a welcoming place, too.

About the Pastor of Creative Arts:

The role of the Creative Arts Pastor (CAP) is to oversee all the elements of service programming for Victory Church under the direction of the Executive Pastor with input from the Senior Leadership Team. This will require a firm grasp of the beliefs, values, and strategy of Victory Church and the ability to align staff, leadership teams and volunteers with its mission, vision and values. The CAP will lead all components of worship programming including music, audio, visual, lighting, creative elements, and series planning. The CAP will also be involved in decision making on the Senior Leadership Team.

What it's like to live in Audubon, Pennsylvania:

The “City of Brotherly Love,” a direct translation of its name from the Greek language, is one of the ten largest metropolitan areas in the United States. Philadelphia served as the nation’s first capital and cultural center before being replaced in these roles by New York City and Washington, D.C., respectively. Since the Industrial Revolution, the city has prospered as an important port and manufacturing center. Today, it’s part of an economic corridor of large cities stretching down the East Coast from Boston to Washington, D.C. Some of the city’s strong traditions, such as its major-league sports teams and Philly cheesesteaks, are nationally famous.

“Philly” and it’s Pennsylvania suburbs offer a full set of big-city amenities comparable to those of most major cities. In the late 17th century, William Penn laid out the city on a grid, one of the nation’s first. Today the modern downtown is adjacent to a large historic district, anchored by Independence Hall and the waterfront. The majority of the land between the historic district and the Schuylkill River to the west resembles a typical large U.S. city with a mix of old and new structures. Across the Schuylkill in University Park, a college town within the city, are the University of Pennsylvania and Drexel University. With these two schools in the city and nearby Villanova and Eastern University in the suburbs, less than a 15-minute drive from Victory Church, the area offers more than its share of quality higher education.

Philadelphia is a historic and vibrant city of neighborhoods, and is increasingly attractive as an alternative to other Northeastern cities. Victory Church is located in the northwestern suburbs, less than 20 miles from downtown Philly. These suburbs include small-town cores mixed with modern conveniences, restaurants, and shopping. Audubon, Phoenixville, Collegeville, Valley Forge and King of Prussia have considerable historic interest, attractive topography and excellent housing values, considerable local and nearby employment, excellent schools and modern family amenities.  Victory Church is less than a 5-minute drive from historic Valley Forge National Park and adjacent to one of the largest retail hubs on the East Coast, the King of Prussia Mall.

Transportation services, both within the metro area and between Philly and other places, are excellent; the Philadelphia International Airport is less crowded than most and served well by major airlines.

The economy is diverse. The area is a center for several industries, most notably the pharmaceutical industry and financial services. The Cost of Living Index is low by regional standards, especially for an East Coast city. The outstanding cultural amenities, cost of living, and central East Coast location make Philly and the surrounding areas attractive and a good value overall.
