Meet Vinings Church:

Vinings Church began as a church plant in 2017. After many years of planning, the church launched through social justice ministry. Over the years, they have kept their church plant mindset - believing and trusting that God, in His process, is writing His story, and they have an important part to play in Atlanta. 

Vinings Church is known for having built excellent ministries that serve people far from God in their community, right where they are, and bring the hope of Jesus to the world. Whether they are leading ministries that communicate the Gospel or by meeting  the needs of the community: working with organizations to feed the homeless,  fight human trafficking, collecting for Title 1 schools  We  build relationships with the people we  serve or those that come through our  doors in order to lead them to Jesus Christ.

About the Worship Pastor:

Vinings Church’s Worship Pastor will lead a tiered volunteer structure made up of multiple directors who lead team leaders to create exciting environments for people to encounter Jesus.

Core Belief about Worship | At Vinings Church, we believe worship is the soundtrack to the Story of God. That worship is a lifestyle, not a song. Therefore, worship is critical to the evangelism and discipleship of our people as they live out their role in the Story of God.

The Worship Pastor's Responsibilities Include: 

General Pastoral Responsibilities

• Experiences intimacy with God on a daily basis.

• Maintains community with insiders with a healthy inner circle of strong believers and leads a Wayfinder Group.

• Influences outsiders with an inspired team of people to own these specific Service Programming Director responsibilities.

Specific Pastoral Responsibilities

• Reports to lead pastor using the “Focus 3” personal leadership system.

• Disciples directors spiritually and teaches them to disciple others in weekly leadership responsibilities.

• Creates a tiered volunteer Worship Team structure for Adults and Students.

• Creates a tiered volunteer Media Arts Team which includes a Video Team, Podcasts & Set Designs.

• Apprentices worship leaders, musicians, and songwriters.

• Coordinates with Engage Team for Seating, Celebration Moments, Giving Moments, and Salvation Responses for Worship Experiences.

• Coordinates Announcements with Communications Team for Welcome, Celebration Moments and announcements for Worship Experiences.

• Helps create and attend Living Room Environments which are our bridge for fringe attenders toward a small group community.

• Trains and casts vision for our apprenticeship model in all teams (“I do, you watch”, etc.)

• Collects wins week by week for staff meeting, videos, Celebration Moments.

• Remains unified with staff team for ministry innovation and volunteer recruitment.

What it's Like to Live in Vinings, GA: 

Northwest Atlanta is a suburban/urban, professional, diverse area. There are 800,000 unchurched people who live within 10 miles of our building so there is ample opportunity to reach lost people. You will find communities and people groups of ALL kinds, and yet most of the people are professionals (white collar). Being in a metropolitan city, there is no lack for any opportunity and kind of person to meet. Vinings Church is right off the highway, so all of the city is within driving distance. Finally, Vinings Church is a young and diverse church who targets the mainstream, unchurched person with the message of Jesus Christ. Internally, Vinings Church looks exactly like our community (diverse).
