About the Organization:
Calvary Baptist Church is a transitioning church located in the heart of North Carolina in the town of Winston-Salem. As a multi-site church with five services at three different campuses, Calvary has an average attendance of nearly 3,000 each weekend. Their mission is simple, yet powerful: Connecting People to Christ and Community.
In 2013, Dr. Rob Peters became the Senior Pastor of Calvary, bringing a fresh energy and vision to the church. Since then, his goal has been to help people know and experience the Gospel so that they can experience the transformation that only occurs through faith in Jesus Christ. About the Position:
In congruence with the overall vision of the church, the Marriage & Family Pastor will shape, design, and execute strategic initiatives and activities for the enrichment of family life at Calvary and in the community. In this role, the successful candidate will first and foremost build relationships, trust, and networks, while laying a solid ministry foundation for the development of families and marriages. The Marriage & Family Pastor will specifically serve as the administrative and spiritual leader that will develop and pioneer Calvary’s Family Ministry, focusing on strengthening families at all levels, ages and stages of life.

The successful prospect will be an innately strategic thinker and problem solver, with exceedingly strong leadership and organizational skills. They will possess a pioneering spirit with a strong desire to nurture, expand and maximize the potential of family life at Calvary, with a direct focus on marriage and family ministries. The ideal candidate for this position will be highly relational, with complementary skills in teaching, replicating, equipping, developing and mobilizing the next layer of leadership for advancement of the ministry. They will fully capture and exude the DNA of the church in all levels of ministry, to create a strong and sustainable family life ministry that extends to all of Calvary’s spheres of influence.
A master’s degree in counseling or related field required, while a doctoral degree in the field is preferred.
Candidate should have a counseling certification, or possess a willingness to obtain one.
