About the Position:
The Student Pastor is responsible for the overall junior high and high school ministry at First Baptist Granbury. The Student Pastor is expected to think strategically about evangelistic growth of the Student Ministry as a whole, while continually developing adult leaders and equipping them to build successful relationships with students and their parents. This person should be able to walk the line between a strategic visionary and a relational builder.
What We Are Searching For:
The ideal candidate will have training and experience to lead a variety of ministries for students and their parents. They will be a self-starter who is energetic and well-versed in the culture of the students. This individual will demonstrate the ability to love God and people by offering counsel to students and parents as well as the capability to equip and empower leaders to work as a team in order to plan, organize, and carry out the ministry together.
- A seminary degree is desired, but pursuing a college degree is essential.
- Proven success in ministry program planning, implementation, and execution.
- An exceptional ability to work well within a staff group environment.
- Driven to meet and exceed personal and professional standards of productivity.
- A teachable spirit and an insatiable willingness to learn.
- Demonstrated stewardship in ministry budget management.
- Experience in spiritual discipleship of diverse age groups.
- An outstanding ability to handle conflict and coach both student and student-parent relationships with truth and grace.
