About the Organization:
Glen Meadows Baptist Church exists to make disciples who make disciples by living L.I.F.E together. Its mission is to love God and others, invest through teaching/training in knowledge, fellowship by serving and caring for one another, and to engage by going and reaching out beyond the walls of the church.
Its beginnings are attributed to 11 members from Hillcrest Baptist Church who met in the Lake House in 1987, with a desire to start a church on the south side of town. The church leased 5-acres from the city of San Angelo and broke ground on their first building in 1991, which was completed 8 years later. An education building was completed in 2002 that accommodated a capacity of over 1,200 children, youth & adults on campus, which contributed to the growing church. Its most recent purchase includes 30-acres of land for a future campus.
At Glen Meadows Baptist Church, one will discover a warm group of real people dedicated to following Christ. It is a committee driven, congregationally led entity, with 800-850 averaging each Sunday. With a debt free budget and opportunities for growth, Glen Meadows has a bright future that complements it’s storied past.
