Henderson Hills Baptist Church was planted as a mission church 52 years ago from First Baptist Church of Edmond. Over these years, the church has been a faithful, vibrant, and distinctly friendly entity, which by God’s grace has faithfully preached the Gospel over the past few decades. Twenty-four years ago the church called Dennis Newkirk to be its Senior Pastor, and his legacy of leadership continues to lead the mission of Henderson Hills today.
Over the past ten years, Henderson Hills has grown to be a vibrant training and sending church with ministries that are consistently training and releasing post-seminary pastoral residents and bi-vocational missionaries, while creating a pipeline for such a caliber of individuals through college-aged intern programs, long-term missions programs, and other ministry opportunities.
God is doing great work at Henderson Hills, stirring His body of believers to be increasingly outward-focused as they aim to train and release leaders for Gospel advancement.
