About the Organization:
New Beginnings Baptist Church is a vibrant and fast-growing church located in the beautiful Longview, TX area. Every weekend, a little over 1,900 people attend one of their two campuses to experience a Gospel-centered worship service. New Beginnings Baptist Church is a theologically conservative Southern Baptist church with a progressive methodology of worship and ministry. Founded in 1983 by a handful of families, New Beginnings has been a growing family of faith ever since.
Arriving in 2010 with a fresh vision, current Lead Pastor, Todd Kaunitz has led the church into an explosive season of growth, from approximately 400 in weekend attendance to over 1,900 with added multisite campuses that continue to rapidly grow today.
As a church, New Beginnings Baptist Church believes that they are not called to do everything, but what they do must be done with excellence. Led by this conviction, as it looks towards its future, the church is committed to a multisite model of ministry spreading all across East Texas. The church is also poised to take the next step, which will forever change its body and its legacy for generations, with the completion of its new worship facility. With these endeavors in mind, New Beginnings is excited to welcome its next Children's Minister into a diligent staff team, as they enter the next season in the life of the church.
About the Position:

About the Location:
In a prime location on Interstate 20, and an hour’s drive from Shreveport, less than two hours from Dallas and three hours from Houston, Longview affords a small-town lifestyle with access to big cities. Amtrak also serves Longview through a downtown terminal, and by American Airlines at Gregg County Regional Airport. With a population of more than 80,000, the low cost of living is one of the area’s biggest attractions. Compared to the rest of the country, Longview’s cost of living is 10.10% lower than the national average.
The heart and hub of East Texas, Longview has a rich history of entrepreneurship, and is consistently found on lists of top locations for starting a business, economic vitality and job growth. The Longview-area economy is powered by the East Texas oil field, but other major industries include health care, manufacturing and chemical production. The city is home to three institutions of higher learning (LeTourneau University, Kilgore College, University of Texas at Tyler Longview Center), and served by four public school districts.
The Longview area is rich with annual festivals led by the Great Texas Balloon Race, a world-class competitive hot air ballooning event that draws the best pilots worldwide. Contrary to the popular Texas stereotype of endless dry Western prairie, Longview and East Texas in general are known as the ‘piney woods’ part of the state, and large trees and forests dominate the landscape. Such natural beauty, with woods, lakes and reservoirs available for year-round recreation, is a big part of the region’s allure.
