Springcreek Church is a dynamic non-denominational church located in the Garland, TX – in the northeast suburbs of the Dallas metroplex area. Springcreek believes God has called them to be agents of hope and healing, to give voice to the most vulnerable, and to champion God's kingdom of love on Earth through their simple acts of service and sacrifice. As a community of diverse and imperfect people, the church seeks to go where Jesus went—into the margins of those in need. As a community of believers, they are on a journey to experience and share the restorative and perfect love of Christ.
The weekend services are designed with others in mind. The music could be secular or sacred, and the teaching addresses the hard issues that happen in a person’s everyday life. They don’t even pass an offering plate, and the dress is casual. Springcreek desires that people from all walks of life can walk in to their services and feel welcomed and accepted. As they are willing to use all methods to reach people, they are committed to speaking truth in a way that is inspiring and encouraging.

About the Position:
The Teaching & Next Steps Pastor will serve a two-fold role at Springcreek Church, with oversight and direction of church-wide connection ministries. As a Teaching Pastor, they will be a teacher, communicator, and leader, and as the Next Steps Pastor, create a strong dynamic pathway of next steps for people who are on their spiritual journey and create a culture of community within the church.
The ideal candidate will be a dynamic communicator who would create a culture of engagement, growth, and healing. The right person will be a big picture thinker with the ability to self manage, yet, possess great team working skills. They will naturally be able to clearly visualize and communicate what needs to be done from start to finish in the context of spiritual next steps, while overseeing lay leadership within the inner workings of the church structure. This person will possess a love for helping people find their next steps in their own unique discipleship journey, while helping facilitate and cast vision for next steps programming as they fulfill the overarching objectives of the next steps pastoral role.
What We Are Searching For/Qualifications:
An undergraduate degree in a related field is required, while theological education/training is preferred.
The successful candidate will understand the dynamics of working in a team context and will have had experience working as an effective weekend communicator and leader of a large ministry team, with the responsibility of providing vision and mobilizing to both volunteers and leaders in a church of at least 1,000 or greater. They will have 3 years of experience, at minimum, with a background in full-time ministry. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and relational, with the ability to cast vision and connect with diverse groups of people, meeting each in their spiritual journey. The successful prospect will have a proven track record communicating and working effectively in a multi-staff setting, as well as a history of developing leaders.
