Victory Church exists to know Christ and to make Him known.
Victory Church is a multi-site location that aggressively reaches out to people who are far from God. Rather than run from culture, Victory has chosen to harness it to connect with people and show them God’s timeless truths. Although the approach to ministry is anything but traditional, Victory Church believes in, and maintains a conservative theological position that is affiliated with the Assemblies of God.
Victory seeks to become the kind of church described in the Bible—a church with relevant messages, heart-felt worship, honest friendships, sincere prayer, and compassionate care for those in need—the kind of contagious Christianity that can influence and encourage its entire surrounding community, one life at a time. Its core values include, reaching the lost, expository preaching, prayer/worship, discipleship, children/youth, individual ministry involvement, and encouragement.
The primary purpose of this position is to lead the discipleship efforts at Victory Church; in helping the congregation to become fully devoted followers of Jesus. The position will be responsible for building the discipleship value at the church, through the forming the direction of the discipleship ministry, developing curriculum, and providing oversight to small groups. This position will also provide opportunities for people to connect into increasingly deeper levels of community and ensure the spiritual vitality of each involved. The Small Groups & Young Families Pastor will function as part of both leadership and executive teams.
The successful candidate will have a background of proven successes in discipleship and spiritual formation strategies. They will be theologically astute, spiritually mature, highly relational, and culturally in tune with varying generations. The candidate will have a proven track record of leadership, organizational development, and effective communication. This individual must embrace the ability to work well on a team and within a community environment, and be skilled at promoting innovation through collaboration.
