Imago Dei Hires Executive Pastor

PORTLAND, OREGON - Imago Dei - Portland, Oregon has expanded its leadership team by appointing Alex Choi as their new Executive Pastor. Imago Dei actively follows Christ by engaging with his people in an effort to make disciples, serve the world, and plant new churches.

Alex strives to prayerfully pursue ministry opportunities in his life and to work on the front lines of evangelism for the church. He has a heart for discipleship and a missional mindset that compliments the values of Imago Dei. He is excited to begin this new chapter and start implementing his vision into the operation and culture of the church alongside the leadership team. As he takes on this role, he hopes to serve directly in the church planting movement and his previous experience will be significantly useful as they move forward.

Alex has been involved with ministry since 1997 and will continue to be a pacesetter that depends on Christ’s wisdom and provision in his life. His wife of 21 years, Michelle, and their 5 children have highly anticipated the move from Los Angeles and plan to spend lots of time enjoying Portland’s natural beauty. This pastoral role will allow Alex to fulfill his desire to be an effective leader that witnesses true transformation and strategically equips volunteers for a purposeful life. We are honored to have worked with Imago Dei on this search and are expectant of how God will use Alex as their Executive Pastor.
