“While transitioning from one job to the next is never easy, resting in God’s sovereign plan is what made the entire process peaceful,” Dr. Dave Lescalleet said. “By that I mean, in the natural, I met the needed qualification that PruittHealth was wanting in their Director of Chaplaincy position. But knowing there were quite a few qualified candidates, I kept this opportunity in an open hand. I trusted the Lord to open the doors that He wanted opened and to close the doors that He wanted shut. Having been with PruittHealth now for six months, I can look back and see that this was an obvious fit and God’s fingerprints were everywhere.”

Dr. Dave Lescalleet joins the staff at PruittHealth from Camp Cho-Yeh, where he served as Director of Compass, creating, developing, and executing the camp’s leadership residential program for 18-21 year-olds. He also brings prior experience to the PruittHealth team in a pastoral and chaplaincy capacity, previously serving as the Lead Pastor at City Church in Corpus Christi, and Chaplain (PRN) at Christus Spohn Hospital.

“We were thrilled to work with PruittHealth to help them find their new Director of Chaplains. Dr. Dave Lescalleet brought a perfect blend of executive leadership, vision, and a heart for pastoral care that made him an excellent fit for this role,” Senior Executive Search Consultant Jay Mitchell said. “I can't wait to see how Dave will impact the ministry of PruittHealth in the coming years.”
