A crucial need for Fellowship Bible Church
When the Worship Minister position at Fellowship Bible Church (FBC) in Roswell, Georgia became vacant, the leadership team knew their next steps would have major consequences for their future.. After recent seasons of transition, including the placement of a new senior pastor through Vanderbloemen just three years earlier, the church needed a Worship Minister who would offer stability, relational depth, and effective spiritual leadership. They were seeking someone who would not only lead worship but also shepherd the congregation, initiating community connections among a diverse congregation.

Fellowship Bible Church was born 45 years ago out of a passion to establish a vibrant evangelical community presence in Roswell, Georgia. The ideal candidate
FBC hoped for a Worship Minister who could live out the church’s heart for worship that is gospel-centered and spiritually formative. This person would be marked by spiritual depth, leadership abilities, and relational warmth, including the following qualifications:
- Theological training and education
- Several years of experience in worship ministry
- Administrative ability
- Worship leading and/or songwriting skills
- Relational gifting to connect authentically across an intercultural congregation
- Strong leadership and communication skills
The steps toward the right hire
Having partnered with Vanderbloemen for previous hires, including to find their senior pastor, Jason Cook, Fellowship Bible Church reached out to Vanderbloemen again, utilizing the network and strategic search process. They met Senior Executive Search Consultant Jay Mitchell, who brought 14 years of experience in his position at Vanderbloemen and 15 years of pastoral ministry to the search. Having completed more than 300 searches, Jay was confident that Fellowship Bible Church would hire their ideal candidate soon.
Jay conducted in-depth meetings with FBC’s leadership to build a detailed candidate profile reflecting the church’s culture and needs. Working alongside Executive Search Consultant Brian Dunks, he identified the strongest initial candidates to present to Fellowship Bible Church’s team.

Trenton and his wife of seven years, along with their four-year-old son, were excited to relocate from Virginia to Georgia just one month after Trenton accepted the offer to join Fellowship Bible Church.
Through a strategic search, Fellowship Bible Church secured the Worship Minister they had been praying for. With this crucial piece now in place, the church looks forward to a new season of growth in worship and community, complete with a team of leaders devoted to their mission.
