Family in Christ Community Church Hires Senior Pastor

What does Ring the Bell mean? At Vanderbloemen, we want to celebrate as a team every time we have the honor of helping a church, school, or organization find their perfect candidate to fill a gap in their team and further their ministry. To do that, we have a bell on the wall in our Vanderbloemen office, within hearing distance of the entire team. Every time a candidate is placed, the team members who worked on that search ring the bell so that our team can celebrate!

This church strives to discover life with God together for the good of the world. When considering their mission, they discovered their need for a Senior Pastor that would oversee the direction of the church and challenge the congregation to fulfill their God-given mission. Our team found Mike Slofstra to be the perfect match for this search. 

Mike is passionate about building and uplifting Christian communities. He brings 15 years of ministry experience to Family in Christ with developed discipleship, leadership, preaching, pastoral care, and teaching skills. Mike is excited to share the unconditional love of Christ and how the Gospel has worked in his life with Family in Christ.

Mike and his wife Bethany have five children, and the Slofstra family enjoys being active and partnering in family-based ministries. They are excited about their move from the Pacific Northwest to Westminster, Colorado, where they will enjoy the activities that the city has to offer while plugging into the various Kingdom building ministries at Family in Christ.
