Hume New England Christian Camp Hires Site Director

Hume Christian Camp

What does Ring the Bell mean? At Vanderbloemen, we want to celebrate as a team every time we have the honor of helping a church, school, or organization find their perfect candidate to fill a gap in their team and further their ministry. To do that, we have a bell on the wall in our Vanderbloemen office, within hearing distance of the entire team. Every time a candidate is placed, the team members who worked on that search ring the bell so that our team can celebrate!

Ring the bell! Hume New England Christian Camp found their new Site Director.

Hume Christian Camp was established in 1941 to help students and adults come to know Christ with service to over one million campers. Hume exists to provide outstanding camp experiences that engage campers in their faith and knowledge of the Lord by partnering with local churches and establishing priorities of prayer, Bible study, and Christian fellowship. The culture at Hume Christian Camp is committed to sharing a clear presentation of the gospel and giving campers an opportunity to respond. When meeting with Hume, we discovered their need for a Site Director that would grow the ministry and contribute to the goals of the camp.

Tim Desilets has served in youth ministry for over 20 years and is thankful for the summer camps that have shaped who he is today. Tim has served alongside many churches in the New England area and admires the mission and vision of Hume. Tim believes that summer camps can create a Kingdom building ripple effect, and is excited to impact the lives of those who attend this special camp. We are so excited for Tim to step into this new role as Site Director at Hume.

“It is always a blessing to partner with Hume New England! Having served in camp ministry, I knew how critical a Camp Site Director is to the success of the ministry. Tim and Mandy already had a passion that God had placed in their hearts for camp. As a family, they served together in ministry and in camp ministry. Hume New England and the Desilets are a fit for each other! Always excited to see such a match!” - Eric Albert, Executive Search Consultant

The Desilets family is moving from the Philadelphia suburbs after feeling called to ministry in New England. The family of 5 loves traveling, experiencing new things, and building relationships. Some of the Desilets’ fondest memories come from church camps, and we know that this will strengthen their impact on the community at Hume New England.
