Moorings Park Hires Director of Ministries

What does Ring the Bell mean? At Vanderbloemen, we want to celebrate as a team every time we have the honor of helping a church, school, or organization find their perfect candidate to fill a gap in their team and further their ministry. To do that, we have a bell on the wall in our Vanderbloemen office, within hearing distance of the entire team. Every time a candidate is placed, the team members who worked on that search ring the bell so that our team can celebrate!

Moorings Park Communities, with its three beautiful campuses, is widely known as the premier provider of active retirement living in Southwest Florida. Moorings Park originated with the members of Moorings Presbyterian Church in 1977 as a non-profit Florida corporation designed to create and operate a non-denominational community where retirees could enjoy a secure, comprehensive residential and healthcare program full of recreational, social, and spiritual opportunities. Since its beginnings, Moorings Park has been a luxurious space for retiree events, groups, and homes. Our Executive Search Consultant, Kristin met with Moorings Park to discuss their need for a Director of Ministries that would provide support, guidance, and spiritual care for residents and partners.

Matthew Agnew has a unique gift to communicate and connect intergenerationally with others. He is excited to step into this role as Director of Ministries with over 10 years of ministry experience. Matthew’s creativity and vision will create a big impact on the Kingdom. His relational, leadership, and development skills have served many organizations and churches in the past, and we know that Moorings Park will thrive under his leadership.

Matthew, his wife Amy, and their two children enjoy traveling and are excited for their new chapter as they move from California to Naples, Florida. We are excited for the Agnew family to further their Kingdom work in Florida and for Matthew to step into his new role at Moorings Park.
