Fort Caroline Baptist Church Hires Lead Pastor

FCBC-19

What does Ring the Bell mean? At Vanderbloemen, we want to celebrate as a team every time we have the honor of helping a church, school, or organization find their perfect candidate to fill a gap in their team and further their ministry. To do that, we have a bell on the wall in our Vanderbloemen office, within hearing distance of the entire team. Every time a candidate is placed, the team members who worked on that search ring the bell so that our team can celebrate!

Ring the bell! Fort Caroline Baptist Church found their new Lead Pastor.

Fort Caroline Baptist Church started as Fort Caroline Baptist Mission in 1978 with eight families. By May of 1982, the church had grown to more than fifty families. God’s faithfulness and several building programs have facilitated the growth of Fort Caroline Baptist Church into the thriving, modern congregation it is today. Fort Caroline’s mission is to love God, love others, and serve the world. Utilizing modern worship, LifeGroups, dynamic NextGen ministries, and several needs-based ministries, Fort Caroline Baptist Church is actively working to be one church passionately united and focused on reaching the spiritually lost in their community with the Gospel of Jesus. When our search team met with the church, we understood their need for a Lead Pastor who would oversee the spiritual health and direction of the church. We found Stuart Owens to be the perfect fit for this role.

Stuart is an experienced pastor who shepherds by teaching and preaching God’s Word. As a leader, Stuart is gifted in building consensus and rallying people towards a common cause. With an abundance of experience in developing leaders and guiding ministries to healthy growth, Stuart is excited to help contribute to the ministry and mission work at Fort Caroline Baptist Church.

“I’m honored to have worked so closely with FCBC’s search team. They were a model team and followed all the best practices that were shared with them over the life of the search. Stuart is an exceptional fit for FCBC and a very talented leader. I have great confidence that Stuart and FCBC will enter into their new season of ministry with great promise and Kingdom purpose. I look forward to hearing great things in the future.” - Tim Gocha, Vice President of Consulting

The Owens family is excited about their move from North Carolina to Florida, where they will serve alongside the Fort Caroline family and the surrounding community. Stuart, his wife, and their three children enjoy sports, new adventures, and spreading God’s Word. Fort Caroline Baptist Church will be a great home for the Owens family.
